TO SPACE

Karman Space Programme was founded by four engineering students at Imperial College London with the objective of making life on earth better through space.
In addition to their technical objectives, the programme is designed to set undergraduate and postgraduate students up for the future. Members have gone on to achieving the following:
-
Getting postgraduate offers at top universities (e.g. MIT, Harvard, etc)
-
Creating their own startups (aerospace, maritime, AI, etc).
-
Working at top companies (e.g. SpaceX, Optiver, Airbus, etc)
-
Establishing well-funded venture capital firms
-
and more!

REDEFINING STUDENT ENGINEERING
The most powerful student-built reusable rocket is planned to be launched in 2026 by Karman Space Programme. The rocket is the culmination of 4 years of research and 3 test flights.

A full-scale cold-flow test will run an inert pressurant, high-purity nitrogen gas, through the entire vehicle at our test site at Kingston Estate, Staverton in Devonshire , simulating flight-level pressures without igniting any propellants.
Distilled water will be used as a surrogate for our propellants, with sensors to validate valve timings and pressure drop models.
The nitrogen supply is essential not only for pressurizing the feed system but also for purging lines, clearing residual gases, and ensuring every component is operating in a clean, controlled environment.
This test puts the whole rocket through a complete, flight-like rehearsal, validating both the feed system and the avionics to ensure every sensor, valve, and control loop performs exactly as designed before moving on to hot-fire operations.
